Reflection...

Overall I think the exhibition has been a great success!
I feel that I've learn a lot about exhibiting your work, and I didn't realise the hard work that it takes. It has definitely helped me realise what is needed of me in the third year shows.
As far as my prints go, I'm really pleased with the way they turned out and I have received a lot of positive responses form the public. I feel that the images work well as a group and in conveying a sense of tradition.

If I were to change anything about the whole process I would change three things:

I would possibly frame my photo's behind glass rather than mount them to prevent them being damaged and touched.

I would consider smaller prints, as mine we're quite large and expensive at an A1 size, however I think for this body of work the large prints worked very well!

Also, I think I would have preferred to have either all four of my prints landscape or all portrait, as I think by having just one portrait and the rest landscape it throws them slightly out of balance. However I didn't want to not use any of the four final images I chose, and I think I mounted them on the wall in a sequence that works well.

The photo's are up :)

After a hard day ( and with lots of help from my lovely group ) my photo's are finally up :)
It's great to see some of my photographs exhibited for the first time!

Exhibition...

I am rubbish at updating this blog!!!

Really excited and pleased about how the project's going, I'm getting my prints back Thu/Fri and I'm really pleased with how everythings turned out!

I got good feedback for the press release I did for the event, and through emailing around and contacting the relevent people, I've managed to secure an article about our exhibition in the evening post, and I've contacted the mayor's office there is a strong possibilty the Mayor will be coming to open our exhibition!!!!!!

Exciting stuff, I'll upload my final images on here in a bit...
